About Michael and the Mortgage Experts Team

Michael Lloyd, Accredited Mortgage Professional , has been involved in mortgage lending for over 19 years including being a Branch Manager for Delta Credit Union (now Envision)in White Rock and as a Mortgage Development Manager for Canada Trust. He made the move to be an Independent Mortgage Consultant 8 years ago so that he could offer his client's more than just one institution's products and better look after their needs. Michael is the team leader and is the primary contact for clients, Realtors, Financial Planners and the Community at large. "Ensuring my client's reach their goal of home ownership through the best products available is a very enriching experience for me. Taking an idea of what someone would like and making it a reality through a step by step plan is great. I see myself as an advisor for people's largest investment, and I use specific strategies to make sure we maximize their money." Michael lives in South Surrey with his wife Louise and two beagles, Kona & Monte. They enjoy spending time with their family and friends, as well as traveling, driving, golfing and sailing.

Jeff Johnson, Accredited Mortgage Professional , is both a mortgage consultant and the Director of Underwriting on our team. Jeff works in our office to coordinate all new and existing mortgage approvals and preapprovals. Jeff brings to us over 19 years lending experience and has proven his excellence in client service from his previous Management experience with Coast Capital Savings Credit Union.

Tara Gentles, Mortgage Professional, is very excited to be joining our dynamic team. She has 8 years of lending experience with Credit Unions, and believes that meeting her clients needs will be easier now that she has a wide range of lenders to choose from. Tara assists with the coordination of all new and existing mortgage approvals and pre-approvals in our office. Tara lives in Cloverdale with her husband and three children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and traveling.

Louise Lloyd, Database Manager, Louise's role is to maintain our database & to coordinate back of house business administration. While not working with clients directly, she uses her keen artistic eye and passion for detail to support Michael in administering external marketing programs. Her management experience stems from many years in the Restaurant & Retail Industries, her last position held was Senior Operations Manager before joining Michael's team. Louise enjoys outdoor activities with their two Beagles, swimming, art, travel and playing on a field hockey team.

Melanie Merriman, Director of Client Care Melanie brings with her a background of extensive skills which she uses to ensure dedicated client service. By beginning her career in 1993 in the restaurant / hospitality industry she developed early on a sincere passion for working with people. Taking that forward she moved to the Financial Industry for the past 7 years where she was able to hone her client service skills. By working with clients throughout their Investment plans, Melanie was able to learn what it took to reduce stress for them throughout the process. Now, Melanie has decided to take her talent and devotion one step further... Thrilled to have recently joined Michael Lloyd and his team of Experts at Invis on the Peninsula, Melanie has become a licensed Mortgage Broker. Melanie understands the importance of a strong relationship between herself and her clients. She realizes that comfort develops trust and reduces stress, which creates a positive experience in the mortgage financing process. As a mother of three young and active children, she is fully aware of the importance of time management and flexibility. Melanie looks forward to helping you with your mortgage needs.

Denise Carroll-McLean, Mortgage Professional Denise is proud to join the team at Invis on the Peninsula as a Mortgage Specialist. She brings with her over 25 years of experience from the Financial Service Industry. She is excited to now be able to offer all mortgage products available on the market, and combine them with the level of service she is known for. Her goal of lasting long term relationships with her clients ensures she will always offer you the objective advice needed to make your largest financial decisions the right ones. Denise loves to learn, and throughout her career has looked for new opportunities to expand her skill set. With 13 years at a chartered bank and 12 years with 2 different credit unions, she has held roles in lending, client service, investment advisement and branch management, all of which has lead her to what she feels is the ultimate role, as your trusted mortgage advisor. Denise lives in South Surrey with her husband & four children. She enjoys spending time at their basketball, volleyball & softball games. Any opportunity offered to enjoy waterskiing or just soaking up the sun on their deck with her husband, also top the list of Denise’s favorite things to do!
